Training and NVQ Assessment

Once the candidate as achieved their NVQ they can then apply for their Experienced Worker Card.

At present there is no additional funding available other than the Construction Skills Grant which for companies in the CITB scope can amount to £400 plus an additional 10% if their company meets the requirements per candidate.

NVQ Level 2 cost is £1150.00 plus VAT. ASA members receive a £150.00 reduction per candidate.

All Mastic Ltd also offer a one-day training course specially designed for contractors who are looking to upskill their workforce. The course which is carried out at our training centre just off the M5 near Bristol runs from 9am till 3pm. 

All aspects of sealant work are included with access to our specially designed training area. Created as an introduction to sealant application many contractors have attended and found great benefit from the knowledge of our experienced trainer.

The Association of Sealant Applicators in conjunction with the CITB can offer an 18-month apprenticeship to candidates from 18 years old and above who are in full time employment with a sealant application company.

Candidates will be trained to a high standard at the ASA training centre just off the M5 near Bristol.

The candidate will attend 18 days at the training centre and a minimum of a further 25 days training with their mentor, an experienced applicator employed by the candidate’s company.

For candidates from England, Scotland and Wales, the current year 2019/2020 the cost of the ASA apprenticeship is £2,180 plus VAT, paid in stages over the 18 months of the course. We can offer this incredible low price as we are the only CITB approved grant aided training centre for Sealant Application in the UK. 

Employers will also receive a short duration training grant of £460 and an NVQ completion grant of £600 direct from the CITB. 

Course payments:

£1000 plus VAT prior to the start of the training and then five quarterly payments of £236 plus VAT.
